      Hi

      Thanks for the message. I will make some changes and new properties in the v10.17

        Unfortunately still none of the skins (other than Windows 10) have SLIDER_ON colors different from SLIDER_OFF. So none of them appear similar to the correct Windows 10 appearance.

          Is is completely vague what the purpose is of GlyphindexOff and GlyphindexOn. As far as I could find, only one of them does something similar to ThumbIndexOn or ThumbIndexOff (I forgot which one of them). Can you explain what they're supposed to do? :huh:

            Now using AC 10.18 I noticed that there are skins with a setting for SLIDER_ON different from SLIDER_OFF:

            AlterMetro, Aluminium, Aluminium 2.0 (CS), Autumn Sky, Bejing Ext (but not Bejing!!), Canvas Dark (CS), Clear Sky (CS), Deep (extremely faint difference), GPlus, iOS Dark, iOS4, Light Board, Lucky, Mint, Nautilus (very faint), Notes Leather, Notes Wood, Notes Sport, Opus, SL II (CS), Snow Leopard, Spring Willow, Topaz and Windows 10.

            However the majority of the skins still not have this setting. :wacko:

              Hello!

              You are right, many old skins are not updated, I will do it later.

                There are some problems with these skins:

                Acryl, Afterburner, Blue Glass, Blue Ice, Canvas Dark (CS), Dark Glass, Desert, Graphite, iOS Dark, NextAlpha2, Notes Sport, Winter2003.

                The problem is that TsSlider placed on a TsPanel with SkinData.CustomColor set, shows unskinned edges (example of AfterBurner):

                [attachment=7362:AfterBurner.jpg]

                In the following skins, the button is not very visible in one of the states (on or off) or in both states:

                Afterburner, Android OS, Black Box, Cold, Garnet II, Steam2, TV-b, WMP 2008, WMP11.

                In the following skins there is too small a difference or no difference at all between On and Off state:

                Acryl. Black Box, Cappuccino, Cold, Emerald, Fallout Style, FM, Garnet II, MacMetal, Matrix, Metro DW (CS), Nautilus, NeonLight, Office 2007 Black, Office 2013 Red, Saphire, Shine, Steam, Steam2, Terminal4Bit, TV-b,Web2, WMP 2008,WMP11, WOT, XPSilver.

                The Office 2003 and the Toxic skin have a wrong color for SLIDER_OFF (looks like it has no color at all).

                Sorry for all the nitpicking :blush:

                  Despite the release notes of 10.22, that say animation of TsSlider is improved, I don't see any difference. Same problems remain.

                  Do I need (again) an uodate of the skins (there is no change compared to 10.21 if you follow the URL)?

                    Sorry, I didn't saw the previous message, can't say why.

                    I will check it.

                      The unskinned edges are still visible in Graphite, in other skins it's solved.

                      The button is now visible in all skins :a3:

                      There is still no difference between On and Off state colors in any of the mentioned skins (except maybe Steam2, which changes the color of the switch itself) :(,

                      The problem of unskinned SLIDER_OFF is solved. :a3:

                        I don't know how to add some difference and leave compatibility with current style in these skins. Other variants of control looking are worse, I think..

                          This picture shows possible colors to use for the Acryl skin.

                          I'm sure all skins will have a color matching On/Off capability.

                            Do you mean, that slider should be blue when Off?

                              I'm just saying that it's nonsense to suggest there are no colors in a theme's palette that are usable for on and off. If in this case the blue color is too dark, just make it lighter. It's still within the general theme's palette.

                              In short: all themes should have a distinction between on and off states.

                                In AC 10.24 the Acryl version looks good now :a3:

                                There are still a number of skins that do not offer enough difference between the On and Off states:

                                Android OS (new??), Black Box, Canvas dark (CS) (new??), Cold, Emerald, FalloutStyle, Garnet II, Metro DW (CS), Office2007 Black, Steam2, TV-b, WMP 2008, WMP11 and WOT (those marked (new??) did not occur in my previous list).

                                Graphite has the problem of showing its edges when placed on a panel with custom color.

                                In NeonLight and Terminal4bit, SLIDER_OFF has no color, I think.

                                So, there are numerous improvements, but there's still some work to be done -_-

                                  Are you sure that there are no difference?

                                  These all skins are dark and we has no many variants in colors there.

                                    Hi Serge,

                                    I do not have crosses or V-signs in the sliders.

                                    Are you sure the URL in the All skins download.url file points to the correct skins?

                                    If it does, how did you get the extra markers (cross and V-sign)? I know, you can set the UseSymbols property, but that's no solution. If the user switches skins, I don't know which skins need this property to be true and which skins don't.

                                      UseSymbols property works in all skins, because these symbols are not stored in skins.

                                        I understand that, but I don't like these symbols. But I can only avoid them if the skin coiors of all skins are discriminate enough.

                                            The project I use for showing the differences is this:

                                            [attachment=7654:TstSlider.zip]

                                            These are the skins from AC 10.27 that still suffer from insufficient difference between on and off states:

                                            [attachment=7657:Cold.jpg] Cold

                                            [attachment=7658:GarnetII.jpg] Garnet II

                                            Especially if your display is set to low contrast (to prevent fatigue of the eyes) the differences between On and Off are hardly noticeable.

                                            This is the problem with Graphite (change the SkinData.CustomColor to True in Panel1):
